Mokra Gora – Visegrad – Tara

Mokra Gora is a mountain Zlatibor dispersed village. Important road routes have passed through Mokra Gora since the old days. Today, it is a popular tourist destination famous for the Šargan Eight.

Šargan Eight is the most attractive tourist and museum narrow gauge railway in Europe. Away from the bustle of modern life, enriched with natural beauty of the Mokra Gora region, it revives the nostalgic and romantic spirit of days past with each steam locomotive wistle.

On the right and partly on the left bank of the River Drina, from the both sides of the River Rzav that flows into the Drina, among conical wooded hills there is the town Višegrad. The greatest attraction of the town is the bridge over the Drina built by Mehmed Paša Sokolović in 1571.
